STEAM Academy is now hiring Lead Teachers for ages: Infant - Pre-K. Steam Academy is an innovative and exciting program that uses Indiana Preschool and kindergarten readiness standards. It is a hands-on learning environment. STEAM Academy is looking for professional individuals with a love for children and education, who add heart and positivity to our work environment. We are a ministry and are interested in teachers who have a heart for ministering to children and families.

Job Description

Implement an already developed preschool curriculum, in well-supplied classrooms that incorporate biblical components as well as STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics), while collaborating with other teachers and communicating effectively with parents. Teachers are required to represent an active faith.

Essential Job Functions

· Supervise and manage daily functions for classroom

· Comply with state daycare and registered ministry preschool guidelines

· Organize indoor/outdoor, quiet/active activities that are age-appropriate

· Builds and maintains relationships with families to foster communication

· Maintain classroom equipment for the purpose of safety

· Uses developmentally appropriate problem-solving techniques with children

· Participates in workshops or meetings to obtain a minimum of 20 training hours annually.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Associates Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education (or related field) or an approved educational plan for an Associate Degree or higher.
• Minimum of 1-year prior experience working with children of similar ages in a classroom environment.

Base pay- $12-$20*

*Pay is based on education, experience, and age range of children hired to teach

Lead teacher with bachelor's degree:

Infants-2s: $15-$18

Preschool-Pre-k: $16-$20

Lead teacher with CDA - $13-$16

Infants-2s: $13-$16

Preschool-Pre-k: $15-$18

Lead teacher without education - $12-$14

Infants-2s: $12-$14

Preschool-Pre-k: $13.50-$16
