Job Description
  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
  • You organize workflow and ensure that associates understand their duties or delegated tasks
  • You visually observe associate productivity and providing constructive feedback and coaching when applicable
  • You determine and communicate necessary projects for operation or cleanliness
  • You assist in prioritizing the daily activities of the housekeeping staff
  • You assist in ensuring breaks are taking as scheduled
  • You make strategic decisions
  • You resolve complaints and manage conflicts
  • You establish and maintain effective working relationships with all associates
  • You monitor the progression of work assigned to all housekeeping associates
  • You complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision by management
  • You sign in and out master keys, radios/mobile electronics daily
  • You are familiar with department’s technology and communication platforms, and utilize to ensure hotel operation and guest satisfaction
  • You return and properly tag all lost and found articles in the Housekeeping Office
  • You evaluate individual and team performance to identify training needs to meet operational, safety or sanitation requirements
  • You select and manage resources, to optimize training processes for efficiency and effectiveness of new associates to departmental and organization goals
  • You carry out inspection reports as required, physical and/or digital of different scope of work carried out by House Attendants.
  • You conduct training for the house attendant team on carpet/floor care, marble care, daily operations, chute, trash disposal, safety, etc.
  • You assist with special projects as assigned by Management
  • You update chart and records
  • You understand and follow all departmental policies and procedures and service standards
  • You adhere to local and externally relevant health and safety laws and policies
  • You adhere to SDS (Safety Data Sheet) information related to the proper and safe use of chemicals in the workplace
  • You follow all safety and sanitation policies
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Ability to work varying shift hours
  • Ability to follow instruction, work with others and work independently
  • Ability to research and investigate information to enable strategic decision-making
  • Ability to communicate fluently with our guests and associates
  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision
  • Ability to work in a busy, fast paced and often stressful environment
  • Ability to safely handle heavy equipment and machinery
  • Ability to conduct training regarding various departmental policies and procedures
  • Outstanding organizational and communicational skills
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Previous Customer Service experience an asset
  • Previous Cleaning or janitorial experience an asset
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Able to use basic cleaning equipment
  • Familiarity with chemicals for general cleaning, carpet/floor care and dry/wet laundry
  • Familiarity with Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
  • Highly responsible and reliable
