Join our team as a Lead Direct Support Professional
Position: Lead Direct Support Professional
Location: New Brighton, MN
Schedule: Full Time: 3-4 days a week between 6am-2pm and 1-2 weekends a month between 2p-10p (typically two weekends a month but may at times be one weekend). Will be working direct care during this time and taking on call phone calls during shift.
Pay: $19.75-$20.85 per hour plus benefits

Job Summary:
We are looking for someone to join our team as a Lead DSP. As a Lead Direct Support Professional (DSP) you will be helping work on a variety of goals with teenagers and young adults who live in their home in New Brighton. DSP’s provide assistance with daily activities such as meal preparation, community outings, personal hygiene, shopping, cleaning, and attending appointments and medication administration. The Lead position may assist with trainings and some office tasks in addition to their direct care.
Requirements:
- To be at least 21 years of age for child foster care homes.
- Have a vehicle with current car insurance
- Have an acceptable driving record as determined by Meridian Services policy.
- Successful clearance from a DHS background Study
- Experience working with challenging behaviors (verbal and/or physical) is preferred. Mental health experience is required.
- Comfortable with physical and verbal aggressions
- Comfortable with personal care for females
