If you are a self-motivated attorney who likes to move projects forward and can successfully supervise the work of other attorneys, check out this Lead Attorney (Hybrid) position in our Menifee office. The Lead Attorney will manage a full caseload of family law matters while supervising and directing a team of staff members to assist on those cases. Essential Functions:

• Ability to manage a family law matter from the consultation phase through trial or settlement
• Create and implement case strategies which are communicated effectively to the clients and other team members
• Oversee the work of associate attorneys and paralegals assigned to cases you are managing
• Work directly with experts such as forensic accountants and psychologists as required in each case
• Draft family law pleadings and court forms such as initial filings, Requests for Orders, ex parte paperwork, client declarations, stipulations, temporary restraining orders, settlement agreements, judgments, briefs, and other legal memoranda
• Write and respond to correspondence with clients, opposing counsel, and experts
• Respond to and propound discovery such as special interrogatories, demands for production of documents, and form interrogatories
• Conduct and defend depositions
• Prepare financial documents such as Income and Expense Declarations and Schedules of Assets and Debts
• Research relevant case law and statutes
• Negotiate case settlements and make court appearances (including evidentiary hearings) as necessary

Job Requirements:

• Must have a Juris Doctorate Degree from an accredited law school
• Must be an active member, in good standing, of the State Bar of California
• Must have 5+ years of family law experience

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Occasional lifting (30+ lbs.) can be expected, though exertion of up to 10 lbs. of force is more common
• Manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment (e.g., computers, mobile devices, copiers)
• Activities include extended periods of sitting, movement, and extensive work at a computer and phone
• Travel requirements to attend meetings with clients at various locations and to appear before courts

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $180,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
