Description: Laundry Driver
The Laundry Driver position is responsible for the overall delivery and pick up of clean and soiled linens on and between properties to ensure an adequate supply of clean linens in a timely manner. This position will be delivering/distributing clean linen and retrieving dirty linen to multiple properties while utilizing company vehicle.
Essential Functions:
Deliver/Pick Up of linen
- Pick-up and drop-off laundry at various offices and other properties using company laundry truck
- Loan/unload a variety of laundry bins, push/pull bins on different surfaces
- Secure linens for transport
- Assist other drivers and staff with loading, unloading, and dispersing the linen
- Follow all safety procedures to ensure a safe driving, be cautious of road conditions and other traffic
- Maintain laundry processing flow to manage delivery and pickup times
- Responsible for in and out log data
Laundry Processing
- Perform all duties of laundry attendant
- Wash, dry, sort and fold linens; keeping assigned linens to assigned carts by area
- Identify stained and/or ripped linen
- Practice safety
Laundry Processing Center
- Assuring that the laundry area and equipment is being kept as neat, clean and organized
- Maintain safe workplace/environment
- Ensure outside and inside of building is clean and organized, weekly with help of maintenance staff
- Check and replace filters on washers
- Change building A/C filters every two weeks
Truck
- Perform pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspection on vehicle
- Clean laundry truck (inside and out), check oil, water, tire levels, and gas fills.
- Report all vehicle accidents to manager and CIO/Maintenance Manager immediately
- Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures, report injuries and unsafe work conditions to manager
- Maintain maintenance regularly and notify Maintenance Manager when vehicles are sent to shop for any maintenance or repairs
- Keep track of monthly gas receipts and turn in to Manager first of each month

Physical Demands: Sitting – 70% Walking/Standing – 30%. Required to stoop, bend, stretch, twist, and reach. Regularly move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 500lbs and up to 1500 lbs. Must be able to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Mental Demands: Organize and multi-task.
Environmental: Exposure to and working with commercial chemicals. Moderate to high noise level when equipment is operating. Driving for many hours at a stretch.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
Full-time position. Varies based upon business needs. Ability to work weekends and holidays.

Must be eligible to work in the United States. Must pass a background screening.

Requirements: Qualifications and Experience:
- Commercial laundry experience preferred.
- Must pass MVR at new hire and randomly.
- Must pass DOT physical/testing, as required for the position.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to multi-task.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
