At Microtel Inn and Suites by Wyndham in Sunbury, we currently have an open position for a laundry attendant. We would welcome the opportunity to speak to you regarding this position and answer all questions you might have.

As a laundry attendant, you will play an instrumental role in our hotel operations by ensuring:

• The housekeeping team has a constant supply of clean and stainless linens and towels.

• All linens and towels are clean and their condition is within brand standard.
• All laundry equipment is well maintained

• Laundry chemicals are fully stocked, and you are requesting extra chemicals when needed.

• Linens and towels are in constant supply and ordering more when needed.

• Loads are prioritized as needed.

• The cleanliness and organization of the laundry room.

• All issues with equipment are reported to maintenance.

• Stains on linens and towels are removed and discarding items that are beyond repair.

• Assistance with extra duties when the head housekeeper needs it

• Safety first by following all federal, state, and local safety regulations on the job.

Requirements:

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance

• Attention to detail

• Responsibly handle laundry chemicals

• Take wet and clean items to dry

• Sort and fold linens and towels

• Maintain an inventory of chemicals, towels, linens, and other laundry supplies.

• Minor maintenance on washers and dryers.

• Preventative maintenance on washers, dryers, and chemical storage.

• Able to communicate and work as a team.

• Able to reliably make the commute to work

Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift

• Sunbury, OH 43074: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Laundry: 1 year (Preferred)
