WD Lab Grown Diamonds is hiring for a 2nd Shift (3:00 pm - 11:30 pm) Laser Processing Operator in our state-of-the-art laboratory in Beltsville, MD. Founded in 2008, WD Lab Grown Diamonds is a pioneering technology company and global leader in high-quality laboratory created diamonds and solutions in Advanced Materials.
The Laser Processing Operator is responsible for processing incoming rough diamond material to specific guidelines. Job duties include:
- Record movement of product within the department electronically and on supplemental documentation
- Prepare product for various laser processing procedures
- Load & unload product from laser processing tools
- Perform basic inspection and measurement of processed product
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to read and understand written processes, then complete a process with autonomy
- Demonstrated manual dexterity with repetitive tasks
- Proficiency using basic inspection and measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers and microscopes
- Must be flexible and able to work shifts, weekends and holidays as necessary in our 24-hour operation.
- Background in basic mechanical maintenance preferred
- High school diploma or GED
