Green Landscape Solutions in Lafayette, Colorado is an award winning design-build landscape firm specializing in high end residential and commercial clients. We are looking for a Landscape Design Associate.

This is a full time position with a starting annual salary between $50,000-$55,000 plus benefits. The Landscape Design Associate works closely with the Sr Landscape Designers to assist with design, sales and estimating support for the residential and commercial design departments. This position requires a combination of creativity, technical skills, and general knowledge of landscape design principles.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Visit job site to accurately take field measurements and site analysis of existing site features

2. Prepare accurate site plans from onsite, printed, or computer-based measurements

3. Utilize design software for base plan, preliminary and final plan preparation

4. Assist in preparing landscape plans, details, drawings and planting lists from concept

5. Understands and complies with company policies, procedures, and SOPs

6. Print copies of plans and estimates using office and large format printers

7. Estimate and record quantities of areas, and volumes from landscape plans and details

8. Input job information and estimate quantities into LMN

9. Obtain cost estimates from subcontractors as needed

10. Order materials as needed from suppliers

11. Complete work within established timelines, in a professional manner

12. Be organized, proactive, and able to prioritize multiple tasks

13. Utilize 3D design software such as Sketchup and Render D5

14. Other projects or tasks as assigned by supervisor

15. Research and source materials, plants, and other products

16. Communicate with clients and provide updates on project progress

QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

The candidate for the position should have but not be limited to the following experience and qualifications:

1. Associates or Bachelors in Landscape Architecture, Construction, Drafting or related degree OR previous experience in a landscape design, estimating, construction, or design-build office setting

2. Understanding of basic landscape design-build practice including planting, hardscape, drainage, irrigation, retaining walls and other landscape elements

3. Basic proficiency in computer drafting and estimating (including Microsoft Office)

4. Basic knowledge of plans, sections, elevations and perspectives

5. Ability to take accurate site measurements and prepare a computer base map/plot plan

6. Exhibit strong organization, communication, creativity and graphics skills with attention to detail

7. High energy individual capable of building and maintaining professional relationships, is self-motivated, has ability to deal with demanding workload and challenging clients

8. Self motivated with the desire to work in a fast pace environment

9. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions

10. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
