Landscape and Grounds Specialist- Senior (Rio Linda HS- Rio Linda Prep/PC#253184)
Position Summary: Performs a variety of work in the preparation and maintenance of grounds and athletic/sport/play fields, construction of special landscaping or public use areas, skilled heavy equipment operation on projects, and advanced horticulture/arborist services.

Work Year: 12 months per year
Employee Type: Full-Time
Salary: $25.70 - $33.95 per hour in 9 annual steps. Salary placement based on experience.
Location: Rio Linda HS- Rio Linda Prep
Hours: 8 hours/day; 5 days/week
Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, and Employee Life Insurance available for employees who work 4+ hours per day (Full district contribution for 6+ hours/day; 50% contribution for 4-5.99 hours/day).
Experience/Education
The position typically requires a High School diploma or equivalent and 3 years of increasingly responsible grounds keeping experience performing in areas such as maintenance, operation of excavating equipment, and having specialized knowledge of landscaping and horticultural techniques.
Licenses, Certifications, Bonding and/or Testing Required
Requires a valid Driver’s License. May require a forklift certificate and a pesticide applicator’s certificate.
