While reporting to the Shift Manager, you will be responsible for Operation of the Lamination Machine. Excellent attendance is crucial for the team to achieve success. You must have a proven record of success in a fast-paced environment. You must have the ability to work with plastics roll stock etc. You will take pride in your personal hands-on and, organizational skills and attention to detail.

Day to day responsibilities include:

• Set up and operate Lamination Machines.
• Meet daily production goals.
• Apply proper adhesive and wind rolls according to specification.
• Enter production data into EFI system.
• Responsible for quality and safety of set up and safe operational procedure.
• Report quality issues to Lead or Manager for analysis and/or remedy..
• Performing all duties in support of Sonoco’s quality and safety policies.

This position is in Hickory, NC

• You have to have a “get it done” attitude and an urgency to resolve problems/tasks.
• To succeed in this role, you will need good written and verbal communication skills
• Working independently and managing multiple tasks simultaneously is needed.
• You will need to be able to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
• Having the ability to effectively work with a team in a fast-paced environment is crucial to success.
• You will need to have the ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions.
• You will need to have the ability to work quickly while maintaining a high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail and most of all Safety.
