Price Industries Inc. is searching for a part-time Price Technical Center (PTC) Lab Technician for its US facilities primarily located in Suwanee, GA. The PTC Lab Technician will assist the Research & Development Manager in the day-to-day operation and maintenance of our Technical Centers and mock-up lab. Price Technical Centers are customer-facing innovation and product demonstration facilities that allow visitors to experience and better understand our products and how they integrate with HVAC systems. Success is defined by continuously maintaining, improving, and optimizing various product demonstration assemblies and customer spaces primarily focused on HVAC systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and execution of projects focused on Price products and HVAC systems
• Maintain Price Technical Center (PTC) functionality, including calibration and repair of equipment
• Develop, build, and maintain interactive displays in the Price Technical Centers (PTC)
• Provide feedback regarding customer visits and product displays
• Integrate continuous improvement concepts and techniques into all aspects of the role
• Travel, on occasion, throughout the US and Canada
• Other duties as assigned

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

• Ability to work effectively in a multitasking environment and work constructively under pressure
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet specific goals and deadlines
• Ability to understand instructions and work with minimal supervision
• Must have familiarity with power tools and hardware
• Ability to use computer and software (Word and Excel)
• Ability to pass a drug screen and background check
• Self-starter, professional, sense of urgency, desire to learn and grow, strong team player
• Must have a strong understanding of low voltage electrical wiring
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and work on a ladder up to 10 feet above floor
• Must be able to read, speak, and write English fluently
• Familiarity with LabVIEW software is a plus

Education/Relevant Experience/Skills

• Minimum high school graduate/GED and relevant diploma/technologist is a plus

• 3+ years HVAC and/or sheet metal and/or general contracting and/or facility work is a plus
