Position Responsibilities:

• Supporting the plant by performing all work requiring the use of CMM or Blue Light Scan machine. This may include First Piece Approvals, writing CMM programs, participating in problem solving activities, supporting Lean initiatives and Continuous Improvement projects.
• Perform dimensional layout on prototype, pre-production and production parts.
• Develop CMM programs for dimensional verification of production parts, gauges, or components.
• Maintain calibration and calibration records while maintaining the calibration budget.
• Provide analysis of layout and/or capability data via dimensional reports and summaries.
• Assist team members with capability and gauge R&R studies.
• Prepare CMM dimensional reports for parts.
• Assist with gauge design and verification.
• Prioritization, scheduling and execution of CMM requests.
• Calibration of check fixtures and metrology measuring equipment as required by calibration schedule and procedure. Develop CMM programs as necessary.
• Maintain metrology measurement equipment list, status and calibration schedule.
• Maintain cleanliness of CMM area and Metrology lab and preventative maintenance schedule for all lab equipment.
• IMDS system entries & maintenance for new and existing programs.
• Perform daily scans to meet customer requirement.
• Perform customer required testing: Pull Test, color checks, melt flow.
• Perform Incoming Receiving Inspection.

Requirements:

• 2 year college degree in a related field is preferred
• AutoCAD, MSA, PCDMIS, Blueprint reading and GD&T experience preferred
• CMM Programming & Operation experience
• Door, instrument panel, center console, garnish trim, lighting, overhead, console or assembly equipment knowledge is beneficial
• Computer proficient with Microsoft Office, SAP experience preferred
• Able to manage time effectively and be detail-oriented
