Job description
Pathology laboratory seeking a self-motivated, professional candidate for a lab assistant. Applicant must be enthusiastic, detail oriented with the ability to multi-task.
Receives couriers and maintain accurate logs of specimens received. Accession patient tissue specimens by entering pertinent data, prints cassettes and slides for patient specimens, pull slides pertaining to patient prior cases, file slides and perform gross review as final check for accuracy of entering patient data related to demographics and submitted specimens. Answers telephone as needed. Assists to ensure quality control and lab standards are met.
Science degree (earned or working toward) a plus.
We are looking to fill both full-time and part-time positions. The hours for the part-time positions are 2:30pm-7:30/8:30pm M-F.
