Position Overview:
The Kitchen Assistant assists the Health Services Coordinator in maintaining a safe and healthy environment for all children and staff through oversight of the food planning, ordering, preparation, and clean-up of the Fraser School kitchen.
Job Duties Include:
- Plan and distribute all Fraser School snack menus following the dietary guidelines set forth by the federal and state governments.
- Purchase, date and store all food and non-food items necessary to provide breakfast supplements, snacks and replacement lunches for the children enrolled in Fraser School
- Monitor supply needs and order as needed
- Supervise necessary kitchen cleaning to maintain standards set forth in Rule 3, Bloomington Public Health and the city of Richfield.
- Reduce waste by minimizing the use of disposable products

Location:
Fraser School, Richfield
Schedule:
Part-time: Monday through Friday from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm
Qualifications:
- High school degree or equivalent required. Post-secondary education preferred.
- Must maintain CPR and First Aid certifications that Fraser provides.
Experience:
- Experience working in early childhood with children with special needs preferred.
- Experience in nutrition or a nutrition-related field preferred.
