Oversee the Mizner Kids Center, supervise and interact with children. Maintain a safe and entertaining environment for children of members and their guests.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following when working as a fitness attendant. Other duties may be assigned, as needed.
Responsibilities
- Engage children in activities and play that stimulates their development
- Appropriately always supervise children while keeping them safe
- Employ a variety of fun techniques (storytelling, video gaming, arcade gaming, art, music, media etc.)
- Assist children with Homework
- Comfortable with changing diapers
- Facilitate daily activities that are developmentally appropriate for infants, toddlers, kids and teen-age children
- Maintaining an environment that is clean, organized, and safe for all children
- Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional disagreements
- Establish a professional level of rapport with each family in order to provide quality care and friendly service
- Attend and engage in occasional events that may be on nights and/or weekends
- Serve snacks to children and clean up the preparation and eating areas afterwards
- always Maintain a professional self-image and project the values of the organization
- Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem
Requirements
- Ensure the safety and well-being of each child by responding to their emotional, social, and physical needs as well as their educational needs
- Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for youth facility
- Always utilize developmentally appropriate practice and best practice methods
- Be a positive role model for all care giving staff and children
- Be warm and nurturing with children
- Be member service orientated and professional
- Cool-tempered, friendly and reliable
- Ability to act as mediator between children
Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent education
- Have at least 1 year of experience working with children and/or a certificate in early childhood education or currently working towards the completion of one
- Be mentally and physically capable of caring for a large, mixed age group of children
- Possess a strong work ethic, be punctual, and have minimal absences
- Have an awareness of the unique needs of young children and have appropriate expectations of their abilities
- Be able to kneel, bend, squat, lift, push, pull, and carry children up to 70lbs
- Have dependable transportation
REASONING ABILITIES
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. A sharp eye for possible safety issues and the ability to swiftly and successfully intervene.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Employees will need to be able to carry young children without difficulty, bend to assist children and clean up messes, and must possess an energy level sufficient to maintain supervision and interaction with children for the duration of the assigned shift.

When working in the childcare center, employees will be working in a small, limited drop-in childcare facility on the Mizner Country Club property. Care must be taken to avoid creating or allowing any safety hazards to arise for children and other staff members. Spills and messes must be cleaned promptly and small objects must be kept out of reach of babies and toddlers under the age of 3 years. Vigilant supervision of children is necessary to prevent accidents and to immediately intervene in potentially dangerous situations.
