Marmon/Keystone is currently recruiting for an Key Account Specialist (Inside Sales) to work out of our East Butler, PA location. This position is a hybrid role.

The Key Account Specialist position will handle all sales inquiries, orders and customer communication in an effective and efficient manner according to company goals and objectives, both financial and non-financial. They will also develop and implement marketing plans to grow and maintain existing business, along with developing new account in addition to i nteracting with all other departments, along with suppliers and processors, to meet customer requirements.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prefer college level business coursework or bachelor’s degree, though previous, successful professional experience may outweigh education requirement.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Be a self-motivated and detailed oriented person, willing to take ownership.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with mathematical aptitude.
  • Ability to understand the basics of print reading.
  • Astute at understanding web-based applications.
  • Be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft products, in particular Excel.
  • Good analytical and interpretation skills.
  • Ability to understand and populate the flow of the supply chain.
  • Prior sales experience, Metals industry experiences preferred.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITY AREAS AND DUTIES

  • Expedient handling of customer quotes, and follow up, requests and orders.
  • May supervise or train junior staff and interns.
  • Adhere to established pricing policies to maximize sales and gross profit in conformance with Marmon/Keystone objectives. Good judgment and familiarity with market conditions.
  • Clear communications with internal work order instructions and PO's to outside vendors.
  • Expedite customer orders through various tools at sales person's disposal.
  • Manage customer contacts and pricing updates in i5, VAS, customer portals and other tools as required. Must be the point person for driving this process. Fully understand any contractual agreement with a customer and vendor.
  • Communicate with Account Managers to share information about new projects and buyers, as well as ongoing work on programs, problems and progress reports.
  • Understand company systems and policies, some personal initiative to apply.
  • Ability to understand the basics of reading prints.
  • Understand the PPAP process.
  • Monitor customer contacts and forecast inventory demand through developed process of ROS management and portals.
  • Become knowledgeable in all the products and specifications handled by the company by attending all sales meetings and training sessions offered.
  • Keep contract and pricing agreements up to date, suggesting ways to improve profitability.
  • Understand customer specific material specifications.
  • Understand the RMA process and how to handle within a customer portal.
  • Minimize level of returns and enter necessary credits in a timely manner.
  • Review invoices to ensure profitability accuracy.
  • Occasional travel to customers, suppliers and vendors.
  • Understand other department functionality such as credit and operations.
  • Handle substantial e-mail and call volume daily.
