Are you looking for a part-time afternoon job with flexible hours? Do you want to make a difference in the lives of children by teaching them how to code? Are you looking for a job where you can make $50 for teaching a one-hour in-person after-school class? If yes, read on!

At least 2 afternoons a week, you’ll teach in an in-person setting at a local school. Schools are located in Seattle, Bellevue, Kirkland, Mercer Island, Issaquah, White Center, West Seattle, and Redmond. Additionally, you can choose to teach virtually from our list of online classes based on what works best for you.

Who We Are:

Coding with Kids is a leading national academy teaching computer programming to students 5-18 years old. We pride ourselves in our class quality, our comprehensive curriculum, and the relationships we build with our instructors and our customers.

Who You Are:

• You have coding experience (this could be anything from coding in Scratch to programming in Python or Java; our team is full of instructors with diverse backgrounds!)
• You have experience working with children or youth in a classroom or a group setting
• You love working with kids and are excited to teach them new skills!

What We Provide:

• A well-structured and tested curriculum that is detailed for those who want to follow it directly, yet flexible for those who want to tweak and adjust
• Training: Live and self-guided training to prepare you to teach and work with children
• A great group of fellow instructors passionate about teaching kids and helping each other
• Ongoing coaching and support
• Both In-person and online teaching opportunities

The in-person after-school enrichment classes usually start in early September and each session runs for 8-12 weeks. There are typically three sessions during the school year. We request that when you pick an in-person class, you commit to finishing the whole session. Our online classes run all year long and you could start teaching these classes before the in-person classes start.

Earn up to than $50 per 1-hour class!

Compensation for teaching classes can qualify for additional bonuses related to:

• Strong student retention
• Strong customer feedback
• Completing a full session of in-person classes (8-12 weeks)
