Summary

The Jr. Data Scientist or Jr. Data Engineer provides support to any departments by developing complex data products that are integrated into business processes and generate added business value. The role will include partnering with internal stakeholders across the business locally and internationally. The individual optimizes business processes through modern data engineering and machine learning techniques and helps integrate the developed models into user friendly products.

What You’ll Do

• Own the end-to-end development and delivery of complex data products that are integrated into the business and generate added value
• Cross-analyze data from different sources to solve real-world business problems
• Query data from Azure Data Lake and Snowflake using Python, PySpark and SQL to further sort, clean and manipulate the data per business requirements
• Develop data pipelines and deploy models using Azure Databricks and Azure Kubernetes
• Help integrate developed pipeline and models into productive software and user-friendly products
• Upskill colleagues by creating a culture of experience exchange with the aim of improving understanding and efficiency of the department’s processes and products
• Perform other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need

• Bachelor’s Degree in data science, mathematics/statistics, computer science, physics, or a related subject
• 2+ years of experience in related field in corresponding subjects or related fields
• Familiarity with Cloud Computing Technology
• Knowledge in big-data technologies (Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Databricks)
• Knowledge of Data Science Packages (e.g. SparkML, Tensorflow, Sci-Kit)
• Comfortable programming Data Science solutions in a language (e.g. Python, SQL, Spark, R)
• Knowledge of applying time-series / regression analysis, clustering-methods, effectiveness testing (A-/B-hypotheses testing) to solve diverse business problems
• Ability to understand complex problems and scenarios, and analyzing them in detail
• Ability to work on tight deadlines and to deliver accurate results
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well on a team
• A self-motivated and proactive individual with a can-do attitude and the ability to work on projects and solve problems independently
