Junior Construction Project Manager - Commercial and Residential
Job description
Paul Davis is looking for a Junior Restoration Project Manager. At Paul Davis, we help homeowners put their lives together after a traumatic event like a fire or major flood. If you like helping others and would enjoy the reward of knowing that you helped someone rebuild their home and start to put their life back together, come join us.
Reconstruction Project Managers work with property owners to repair damages from fire or water to commercial properties or residential homes. As a Junior Restoration Project Manager you will supervise the renovation from the initial estimate for the project, hiring all of the subcontractors, and managing the job through to completion. This means you will spend a good deal of time in the field supervising, but not swinging a hammer.
We are looking for individuals with a strong construction background who are comfortable being compensated on a base pay plus commission structure. If you are self-motivated and like your paycheck to depend on your ability to produce, this job is for you. At Paul Davis, the only thing limiting your earning potential is how hard you are willing to work.
The ideal Junior Reconstruction Project Manager:
· Is self-motivated
· Likes working with people
· Is organized, but flexible. Must be able to prioritize and manage time
· Thrives under high stress situations
· Has excellent communication skills
· Works well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Construction project management experience is required. Some sales experience is preferred. This position requires significant computer skills to run our estimating and job tracking software. Applicants will be tested on computer aptitude.
Experience as a Builder, General Contractor, Project Manager, or Retired owner of a subcontracting firm is preferred. Must have working knowledge of all building systems, specifically including framing, electrical, HVAC and plumbing. Experience creating estimates for projects and budgets for sub-contractors is a plus for this position.
