Junior Accountant

Job Summary:

Peloton is looking for a dynamic and professional Junior Accountant to join the team in our Katy, Texas office location. A successful candidate is a recent accounting graduate who is a self-starter with a desire to learn. As a Junior Accountant at Peloton, you will work closely with all employees in the Katy office as well as the accounting and sales teams in other offices throughout the world.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Accounting Responsibilities
  • Accounts payable (coding invoices and entering into accounting system, preparation of check run)
  • Accounts receivable (client invoices, follow-up on outstanding receivables, and bank deposits)
  • Preparation of basic journal entries
  • Support monthly and annual close processes
  • Prepare other accounting reports as needed
• Administrative Responsibilities
  • Work with sales team and clients to follow-up on purchase orders and other paperwork
  • Update client information (contact info, contracts, and any other relevant information)
  • Support any other queries from the sales team
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or related field preferred
• Enrollment in CPA program preferred
• 1-2 years of Accounting experience
• Sage experience is a plus
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) and generally strong computer skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
• Proficiency in English
  
• Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times
  
• Comfortable with prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
