Job description
Easton Valley Community School District is seeking a full time JH/HS Special Education Teacher for the 2023-2024 school year. Easton Valley is located 35 miles south of Dubuque and 40 miles north of the Quad Cities. Each applicant must have an Iowa Teaching License and an endorsement in K-12 Instructional Strategist II: BD/LD. Easton Valley is in search of the following attributes:
- Possess a strong knowledge of Iowa Core Standards
- Familiarity with Professional Learning Community (PLC) roles and functions
- Commitment to developing engaging, student-centered lessons with the Special Ed curriculum
- Ability to create a positive classroom culture that meets the diverse needs of all students
- Willingness to collaborate with colleagues to create a cross-curricular sense of cohesion in the JH/HS level
- Strong classroom management skills
