Job description
- Enters physician orders into the appropriate computer system.
- Processes physicians' orders.
- Checks and reviews pharmacy assistant's/technician's preparation of orders.
- Provides drug information to customers inside and outside of the Medical Center.
- Practices pharmacy in accordance with regulations.
- In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
Position Compensation Range: $50.43 - $80.69 Hourly
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Education: Bachelor's in pharmacy or PharmD degree required.
- Experience: No experience required.
- Licensure: Commonwealth of Virginia State Board of Pharmacy License required. American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider BLS certification required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Job requires standing for prolonged periods. Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills. Attention to detail and ability to write legibly. Ability to lift/push/pull < 20 lbs. May be exposed to chemicals.
