Mr. Cooper Group (MRCG) is seeking a motivated and passionate IT Systems Engineer to join our
On-Prem Cloud Team. Responsible for designing and implementing information systems which will adequately support the enterprise infrastructure of the organization. Analyzes system requirements and ensures that systems will offer security and will be effectively integrated with current applications. Ensures that all systems are working at optimal levels and offers support to application development department regarding new technologies and system requirements. This candidate will work with on-shore & off-shore datacenter and infrastructure team members to support, maintain and modify our dynamic infrastructure. They will be responsible for the server, storage and data protection infrastructure located in all MRCG’s datacenters.
Responsibilities

Provision and deploy physical and virtual systems according to defined best practices in physical Data Centers.

Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure

Install, configure, update and maintain system management tools and firmware
-
Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability

Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies
-
Write and maintain documentation for break / fix and change processes

Participate in the design of information and operational support systems

Provide 1st and 2nd level support
-
Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution

Must be available to work after hours and weekends as needed
Requirements
-
5+ Years of relevant technical experience
-
Experience with VMware vSphere administration and maintenance is mandatory.

Proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting Dell and Cisco server technologies.

Solid experience in administration and troubleshooting of Dell-EMC like storage systems
-
Solid experience in setup, administration and troubleshooting of enterprise backup solutions, e.g., Avamar, Networker, Data Domain, etc.

Solid experience in the design, administration and troubleshooting of Disaster Recovery systems and procedures (preferably Zerto).

Some cloud experience with AWS, Azure and Google Cloud Platform

Experience with monitoring systems like New Relic or Solarwinds.

PowerShell, Python or Bash scripting experience is a plus!

Must have solid networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP, etc.)

Proficient ability to communicate effectively with others using spoken and written English

Ability to tackle projects and perform quality work with general supervision

Ability to learn new technologies on the fly and absorb knowledge quickly
