JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for acting as Help Desk support in the operation of Platte Valley Companies’ information technology systems. This specialty covers planning and delivery of business support services including installation, consultation, troubleshooting, user assistance, and training.

RESPONSIBILITIES: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Provide help desk support to associates, both over the phone and in person.
2. Install and maintain supported hardware and software. Respond to calls and tickets relating to workstation and/or peripheral issues.
3. Setup and install computer workstations mobile devices, printers, scanners, desk phones, etc.
4. Maintain inventory lists and replacement lifecycles.
5. Consult with users to determine appropriate hardware and software needs and assists in placing orders.
6. Train end users in the use of equipment and software.
7. Develop and maintain documentation.
8. Apply program patches and updates as they become available.
9. Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS: Minimum Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Prior experience with installing operating systems, replacing computer hardware, working
with mobile devices, troubleshooting, etc.
1. Familiar with operating environments such as Microsoft Windows, iOS, and Android.
2. Self sufficient / self starting.
3. Strong customer service skills.
4. General areas of competency: decision making, dependability, development, environmental safety, documentation, interpersonal skills, prioritizing, problem solving, team skills, time management, organization skills, inventory tracking.
5. Must be capable of working with and maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information.

Physical Requirements:
Light Work - exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Reaching, fingering, grasping, repetitive motions, stooping, crouching, standing, walking, lifting, climbing, kneeling, talking, hearing, pulling, pushing, thinking, concentrating and interacting with others.
