We are currently seeking a State Healthcare Security Analyst to join our team in Nashville, TN (US-TN), United States (US).
This security analyst, working closely with other analysts and vendors, will be a key contributor in evaluating the completeness and accuracy of the effectiveness of client security programs, document program controls, assess risks and remediation management, with an emphasis on the system security plans. The candidate may also contribute to security independent verification and validation (IV&V) activities by collecting and analyzing information to ensure requirements and business needs are met during the implementation of new systems.
The role is planned to be 100% remote with no travel required. However, there could be up to 50% travel should the role or client change.

Job Responsibilities Include:
- Provide consultation and input for all client CMS deliverables, with an emphasis on system security plans, security control assessments, and information system risk assessments.
- Review of relevant laws and regulations as input to governance documentation.
- Mapping existing policies and standards to the appropriate framework(s).
- Prepare for and manage review / process walkthrough meetings.
- Prepare policies, standards, and related governance deliverables.
Minimum 6 years of IT Technical or Business Analyst experience including:
- Minimum 2 years working with system security plans (SSP's) in some capacity.
- Minimum 2 years combined IT risk, compliance, and/or audit experience.
- Minimum 1 year working with NIST 800-53 and/or CMS MARS-E security control frameworks.
Preferred Skills:
- Hold one or more security certifications such as CISA, CISM, CISSP a strong plus.
- CMS Certification / ATC process experience a strong plus.
- Familiar with networking, operating systems, application, data encryption, cloud computing, and operational controls.
- Ability to understand and translate technical jargon.
- This is a highly collaborative position, must be comfortable working with people.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related Business field.
