Overview:
The IT Hardware and Logistical Specialist is responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of computer hardware, peripherals, and related equipment. They manage and maintain IT hardware assets such as laptops, desktops, servers, printers, and other peripherals, monitor inventory levels, and ensure timely procurement and delivery of IT equipment. They also develop and implement logistics strategies to ensure timely delivery, tracking, and disposal of IT assets, and coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure a smooth and efficient logistics process. The ideal candidate has knowledge of industry-standard hardware and software. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain IT hardware assets such as laptops, desktops, servers, printers, and other peripherals
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely procurement and delivery of IT equipment
- Conduct regular audits of hardware inventory and perform asset tracking and management
- Work with internal stakeholders to plan and execute IT hardware deployments, upgrades, and repairs
- Maintain accurate records of all hardware assets, including procurement, maintenance, and disposal
- Develop and implement logistics strategies to ensure timely delivery, tracking, and disposal of IT assets
- Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure a smooth and efficient logistics process
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements, in the handling of IT assets
- Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting support to end-users as needed
High School Diploma/GED
- 2+ years of experience in IT hardware and logistics management
- Experience with asset tracking and management systems
- Knowledge of industry-standard hardware and software, as well as computer peripherals
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Knowledge of IT security practices and compliance requirements
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment as needed
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools(Excel, Word, Outlook,ec
