Summary

First Horizon is looking for a Business Systems Analyst to join the Enterprise Data Solutions team. This position will be a hybrid Business Analyst / Data Analyst role with high growth potential and an excellent chance to have a large impact on the organization. The Enterprise Data Solutions team is responsible for managing data throughout the enterprise as well as operational master data and big data ETL. The team supports key corporate functions including Marketing, Corporate Finance/Accounting, Employee Services, Corporate Security, Compliance and Data Governance. The role interacts with technology and business partners in support of the key objectives of the executive management group to manage, maintain and leverage our data assets more effectively. The Business Systems Analyst must also be able to manage external vendors that are required to interact with systems in our environment.

Required Qualifications:

• Manage ongoing relationship with business and technology partners through effective communication, coordinating of efforts, resolving issues and answering questions
• Prior experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• College Degree in related field of study or equivalent experience
• Ability to clearly articulate and develop business requirements
• Experience creating functional designs from the business requirements (including use cases, screen mock-ups, prototypes)
• At least 2 years of experience using data query tools for analysis against Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, and Hadoop sources
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team under general supervision

Preferred Qualifications:

• Banking experience is a plus
• Experience collaborating with business partners, architects, developers, vendors and consultants
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Knowledge of big data platforms
• Champions innovation from conception to implementation
