Job Title: Inventory Control

Location: Muskegon, MI

Shift: Monday-Friday, 1st shift

Job Overview: This role is primarily responsible for compiling and managing production data for industrial production and maintaining the database, perform physical count of inventory, and reconcile actual stock count to computer-generated reports. This position is also responsible for maintaining inventory status of site’s raw materials, WIP and finished goods by analyzing and reporting findings and observations back to the management team to allow the site to meet scheduling needs in order to maintain a high level of customer service.

Duties:

• Maintain inventory status of sites raw materials, WIP and finished goods on a daily basis in SAP.
• Investigate discrepancies and correct any errors by working directly with the purchasing, scheduling, technical and warehouse functions to reconcile all inventory needs. Includes performing physical cycle counts of raw materials, WIP, finished goods and packaging materials; utilizing system reports or data from multiple departments. Communicate on process updates to correct future discrepancies.
• Co-lead site’s annual physical inventory processes and responsible for conducting physical cycle count on a weekly/biweekly basis.
• Train Supervisors, Chemists, and other affected employees in SAP processes.
• Receive and create labels for incoming WIP and finished goods using SAP.
• Analyze monthly POVR report, communicating regularly with Production Supervisors and Chemists.
• Maintain sites safety supplies inventory including vendor ordering and vending machine distribution.
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports for distribution using SAP/EXCEL/WORD. Reports include Production Reports, Absorption Reports, Gas Usage, Inventory Reports, Yield Reports.
• Other duties as assigned

• Associates in business related degree or two years’ experience working with inventory systems in a manufacturing industry

• MS Office experience including advanced Excel (manipulating spreadsheets using functions such as pivot tables, v-lookup formulas, if/then statements).
• SAP knowledge preferred.
• Strong analytical/math skills
• Ability to assess a problem and promptly resolve or escalate to management if needed.
• Strong data, written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate courteously with internal and external customers and ensure communication is clear and direct
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks at one time
