Job summary
We are looking for a high caliber, experienced, and motivated Program Manager to help build a high performing team of fraud and abuse investigators supporting a new project with strategic significance.

In this role you will be responsible for defining and implementing intake processes, developing new Standard Operating Procedures, and putting training and audit mechanisms in place. You will benchmark and leverage best practices from other teams with similar functions at Amazon as you implement and continuously iterate on processes that scale. You will drive effective communication with stakeholders, including partner teams, internal customers, and leadership. Key metrics for this role will include time to onboard new operational tasks and investigation defect rate.

The ideal candidate is process-oriented and an excellent communicator with a natural curiosity and ability to navigate through complexity and ambiguity while wearing many hats and easily switching between big picture process improvement and tactical execution.

Key job responsibilities
  • Define and implement intake processes
  • Write and/or facilitate development of Standard Operating Procedures (including securing buy-in and continuously iterating)
  • Develop and institute training programs/modules for the investigation team
  • Propose and implement processes and/or technical solutions for auditing task execution
  • Identify and formalize new metrics to track through weekly business reviews
  • Benchmark comparable teams across Amazon to identify relevant best practices
  • Occasionally perform fraud & abuse investigations alongside the investigation team to get hands-on experience with the processes you are establishing

  • Post-graduate degree (MBA, MS, etc.)
  • Experience with mitigating fraud and abuse risk
  • Track record of driving change based on persuasive communication of insights based on analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges
  • Ability to embrace ambiguity and a rapid work pace while driving clarity and decision-making
  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

The base pay range for this position in Colorado is $74,200 - 129,800/yr and in New York City is $74,200 - 129,800/yr. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
