The Insurance/Billing Specialist is a key position in the Revenue Cycle, should be goal-oriented, revenue-driven, highly accurate and motivated. Primary duties include but are not limited to: following up on insurance claims, filing appeals when necessary, and acts as a back up for insurance verification, calculating and collecting patient responsibilities for procedures and obtaining prior authorizations.

Qualifications:

• Minimum two (2) years Medical Billing and Collections experience REQUIRED (please do not apply if you do not meet this requirement)
• Experience with ophthalmology or retina billing preferred
• Working knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 codes
• Familiar with payor websites and policies
• Experience obtaining prior authorizations
• Comfortable collecting insurance and patient balances

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
