Instructional Coach/Learning Facilitator
Ideastream Public Media, a Cleveland-based multiple media organization and home to Ohio’s largest NPR, PBS and classical radio stations, continues to expand its trusted, in-depth, high-quality local news and information service to 22 counties in Northeast Ohio. As part of this growth, Ideastream seeks a friendly and communicative part-time Instructional Coach/Learning Facilitator. Reporting to the Director of Education, the Instructional Coach/Learning Facilitator will work closely with the Education team to develop and/or facilitate classroom, school, and community-based learning experiences for children, caregivers, and educators. You will also develop and/or facilitate virtual and in-person educator professional development and family/caregiver workshops in a professional, engaging, and inclusive manner featuring PBS materials supporting the Education department initiatives and goals.
Qualified candidates will have familiarity with the development, behavioral, social, and academic needs of students, proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite and Zoom, and excellent written and verbal communication. A Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, Curriculum Development and Design, or a related field, and five years of experience in educational leadership, curriculum development, early childhood education, or elementary education is preferred, though an equivalent of experience in related fields and education will be considered. This is a part-time position with a variable schedule with a starting hourly rate of $30.00.
