In this role, the Installation Project Manager directs teams of mechanical builders, integration engineers, and electricians responsible for installing, servicing, and repairing equipment. This position will oversee teamwork to ensure standards, budgets, and schedule deadlines are met.Essential Functions
- Partners with customer facilities and updates schedules for installation service or repair of equipment.
- Generates installation plans for generic machines and specific installations to document the required sequence of operations and procedures.
- Provides communications with cross-functional teams to ensure the availability of equipment and resources to meet installation plans and schedules.
- Responsible for managing the documentation of standard tool box content requirements and verify content prior to shipment to job site.
- Develops procedures and produces reports for receipt, unpacking, and storage of equipment and components in the field to support installation plan and eliminate loss or damage.
- Acts as a liaison with the customer as needed to provide adequate visibility of project status and requirements for customer resources related to installation service and repair activities.
- Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure efficient function operation and employee engagement.
- Organizes and documents calibration and location of equipment required for installation and testing of machinery (QC load cells, Leica laser, Renishaw laser, etc.)
- Monitors workflow systems and performance, and implement cost reduction initiatives and service improvement opportunities.
Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for a successful job performance will be considered. Typical qualifications would be:
- Bachelor degree in engineering or demonstrated experience.
- 5+ years of mechanical and electrical project installation experience.
- 1-3+ years of supervisory experience preferred.
- Ability to view and manipulate 3D models or similar experience.
- The position requires applying and receiving a “Secret” level DOD clearance including further application and acceptance for Special Program Access.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
