Job description

Woodstock Soapstone Company has been making wood and gas stoves for 44 years. All of our sales are direct-to-consumer (no stores; no distributors). Many of our sales come from the friends, neighbors, or relatives of previous customers.

This position is almost all on-site, responding to people who come to our West Lebanon facility, or who call us to talk about stove options and availability. Some responding to email is also part of the position.

A thorough knowledge of all our wood and gas stoves is required, along with detailed knowledge of industry standards for wood and gas stoves, including installation clearances and requirements, state and federal regulations, proper safety and operational best practices.

Good communication skills are essential, including the ability to listen and ask questions. and the ability to present technical information in a way that a "non-technical" person will understand.

We have a long and well-established reputation for friendly and helpful sales and customer service advice, and we are searching for a person who can continue this tradition. You will find other employees here to be helpful and collaborative.

Pay: $42,000.00 - $54,000.00 per year
