FUNCTION & SCOPE:

Reporting to the Vice President of ITS/CIO, working independently under general supervision, this position oversees the continuous improvement of information technology for end-user support; this position reviews, validates, and processes all financial transactions related to information services and technology, including transactions related to IT outsourcing; this position also provides project implementation and coordination support to the Vice President for ITS/CIO and carries out special project assignments. The incumbent therefore is responsible for certain critical administrative functions for the VP/CIO including assignments of a complex and confidential nature such as budgets, human capital, and key administrative processes and procedures.

DUTIES:

  • Audit and validate outsourced IT help desk services and drives for continuous improvement of technology services for RF end users including desktop support, PC hardware and software upgrade and refresh, and user training.
  • Oversee and maintain control over business transactions under RF's IT vendor contracts. Be the gatekeeper for the IS organization for financial transactions under these contracts.
  • Manage, monitor, and obtain approval for all IT outsourcing vendor pass-through costs; including any technology requests, and ensure the best value for the resource spent on IS, via IT outsourcing vendors.
  • Compile budget data and assist with the development of the IS annual budget for the VP/CIO.
  • Work on the IT outsourcing metrics and, service level agreements and provide input for the assessment of IT outsourcing vendors.
  • Gather data and make recommendations for managerial decisions.
  • Develop and enforce administrative policies, processes, and procedures for IS, including user access to IS resources, equipment, and software purchases, etc.
  • Coordinate IS setup and training for new hires as part of the RF new user onboarding process.
  • Coordinate and oversee user access of terminated employees/consultants to ensure access has been removed.
  • Design, prepare, and compile complex documents and materials for packets and presentations for meetings. Coordinate and control the distribution of such reports and documentation.
  • Perform other project coordination and supportive duties for the VP/CIO and carry out additional specialized tasks and assignments required by the VP/CIO.


Requirements:

SPECIAL SKILLS:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills, especially workstation and local area network (LAN) support.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint software packages.
  • High degree of accuracy, strong organizational skills, and coordination.
  • Experience working with budgets.
  • Must be able to work independently and exercise judgment.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree related to Information Technology plus experience with IT purchases, working with IT vendors, providing workstations, LAN support systems, and user technology or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Compensation for this position: The starting compensation for this exempt level entry-level role is between $55,381 to $66,271 and generally, we expect that qualified candidates in this location will be made an offer between $60,000 - 66,271. The starting pay will depend on a variety of factors that may include but are not limited to experience, education, training, and certification.
