Information Systems – Help Desk Specialist
Engineered Air is seeking a qualified candidate to fulfill a full-time office-based role of Information Systems (IS) Help Desk Specialist. Directed by the Information Systems Manager, this position will interact with all levels of staff across North America supporting the company’s IS.
The IS Help Desk Specialist will work on-site in our De Soto office as part of a distributed 4 person help desk team supporting 32 locations across the USA and Canada. You will work alongside additional IS members located in Calgary Canada and Newmarket Canada. However, in person and frontline support in De Soto KS will be the primary responsibility of this role.
Key Deliverables:
· Supply help desk support through the administration of EngA’s IS and Communications systems
· Use best practices to resolve problems and implement systems to improve operational efficiencies.
· Supply recommendations about hardware and software and implement accordingly
· Supply recommendations about IS business processes and IS strategies
Skills & Requirements:
· 3-5yrs experience in a help-desk setting
· Hold an accredited diploma in Information Technology or an industry recognized certification/accreditation
· Excellent knowledge of basic computer programs (Microsoft Office Suite, Chrome/Firefox/Adobe CS Suite)
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
· Organized and task oriented with the ability to multi-task and triage tasks according to business priorities
· Experience with Windows Server 2012/2016/2019, Windows 10/11 end user support, Manage Engine Desktop Central and ServiceDesk Plus
· Experience with Citrix, Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, BricsCAD, MS Teams Voice, ThinkTel, and SharePoint would be considered an asset
· Ability to meet deadlines, articulate ideas, and react appropriately under pressure
· Maintain the ability for occasional travel to Canada
· Initial training phase of employment may require training in Calgary, Canada at our Canadian Head Office. Accommodations and travel will be provided.
· Position will work on-site at our De Soto office
Responsibilities:
· Respond to IS service requests (help desk support) from EngA Employees in an expedient manner
· Includes but is not limited to requests relating to user support, mobile telephones, computers, servers, tablets, office equipment, and telephone systems
· Address requests using sound judgment to ensure solutions are financially possible and refer problems, as necessary, to the Information Systems Manager for guidance and resolution
· Develop a working knowledge and supply software support for EngA’s custom internal applications
· Provide user support and issue resolution for standard office software (i.e., assist with using “Microsoft Office” and related programs)
· Perform and manage the implementation of new or upgraded software, including transition, office moves, or conversion initiatives
· Make recommendations about transition/purchase of IS hardware and software
· Maintain IS documentation, codes, passwords in a confidential and secure manner
· Ensure proper cross-training and back-up is in place for IS support in preparation for time off
· Maintain strong and positive relationships with employees and supervisors
· Work with EngA’s business partners in provision of IS Services
· Perform other duties as needed.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
