- Ensuring compliance with state, federal and Joint Commission standards relating to infection control.
- Monitoring hospital for possible infection outbreak.
- Identifying isolation protocols and informing the appropriate state and county organizations of any reportable diseases.
- Providing education to team regarding infection control preventions.
- Process all employee injuries according to protocol.
- Perform a wide variety of tasks.

Which Qualifications Do You Need?: In order to set you up for success, you need the basics of…
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (BSN or higher preferred) and/or Bachelor of Science or higher degree in microbiology, public health, or closely related field.
- If RN, must be licensed in Florida or carry a multi-state license recognized in Florida, or certified in Medical Technology.
- Certified Infection Control and Prevention preferred, required within two years of employment and must maintain certification.
- Experience in Infection Control preferred.
- Knowledgeable regarding state, federal and Joint Commission standards for infection control and employee health preferred.
- Two years clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred.
