Established in 1972 by James “Earl” Boykin, the company started in Pooler, Georgia with only one truck, one welding machine, and six employees. The company moved to Jesup in 1973 to help with the expansion of a local mill. In 1975, James W. Boykin took over through 2001. Industrial Painter Job Description Template

We’re searching for a skilled industrial painter to add to our staff. In this role, it will be your job to paint and sandblast structural steel. You will need to assess the object that’s going to be painted and determine the best way to go about completing the job. You should be capable of working with many different painting tools, including airbrushes, rollers, and both thin and thick brushes.

We’re looking for applicants who have previous experience in a similar role. We prefer to hire someone who has undergone formal training in industrial painting but may hire the right candidate without this qualification.

Industrial Painter Responsibilities:

  • Use a variety of tools and techniques to paint structural steel members
  • Safely dispose of all waste that’s generated during this process
  • Sandblast and preparing raw steel to prep for paint (use of other tools maybe required. i.e. grinders, sanders, etc.)
  • Use your specialized knowledge to determine the best painting techniques to use on a specific job
  • Ensure that all safety standards are maintained throughout each job
  • Other duties as assigned.

Industrial Painter Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Formal training in industrial painting is preferred
  • Specialized knowledge of industrial painting techniques and tools
  • Physical ability to remain standing for most of your shift
  • Ability to work well in both team settings and with minimal supervision
  • Ability to take ownership of our paint department

Education: High school or equivalent (Required)

Location: Jesup, GA

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
