Job description

We are looking for a skilled Painter knowledgeable in preparation of the interior/exterior of equipment, parts and primer/paints while observing all safety requirements. Your job will be important since good painting has both practical and aesthetic benefits. Must be reliable and deft as well as possess great attention to detail in completing daily duties. The goal is to deliver high-quality painted work.

Responsibilities

• Reading blueprints/instructions, examining surfaces to determine the kind and amount of work required to deliver quality craftmanship to our customers
• Making on-site preparations such as covering/protecting noncoated parts or surfaces.
• Preparing surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, removing old, any debris.
• Fill cracks and holes with appropriate material
• Mix primer and paint and other materials per process specifications
• Paint surfaces according to instructions with required tools
• Calculate and record times to complete all tasks
• Comply to all health and safety requirements

Requirements and skills

• 3+ years’ experience as a painter is a plus
• Excellent knowledge of painting material and how to select, mix and apply them
• Solid knowledge of commercial and/or industrial painting techniques
• Aptitude in using appropriate tools (brushes, caulking guns etc.)
• Conscientious with great attention to detail
• Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade.
• High school diploma or GED: at least 12 months of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
• Great communication skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Extremely detail oriented.
• Operates equipment such as airless spray equipment and motorized lifts.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

• Work involves almost constant exposure to unusual elements, such as hot and cold temperatures, toxic chemicals, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and/or loud noises.
• Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require basic safety precautions.
• Considerable physical activity. Requires heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects up to 50 pounds.
