We are actively recruiting skilled painters with industrial painting experience. Your job will be critical to the finished product as it reflects on both practical and aesthetic of our conexwest. An excellent painter is knowledgeable in selecting the right material for their job. They have experience in painting with various tools and in various heights and spaces while observing all safety measures. They must be reliable and deft as well as possess great attention to detail in completing their duties. The goal is to deliver high-quality paint work every time, every day.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Read instructions and examine surfaces to determine the kind and amount of work necessary.
• Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint etc.
• Masks, removes, covers, or otherwise protects hardware, trim, and other non painted surfaces.
• Applies paint to interior and exterior surfaces using sprayers and other tools.
• Fill cracks and holes with appropriate material (e.g. plaster).
• Mix paint and other materials to prepare the right color or texture.
• Paint surfaces according to instructions with various tools.
• Apply varnish and other finishes.
• Know, understand and adhere to all health and safety precautions.

Required Skills & Abilities

• Proven experience as a painter with great attention to detail.
• Excellent knowledge of painting material and how to select, mix and apply them
• Able to stand, reach, bend and stoop for prolonged periods of time, have adequate balance and ability to climb ladders.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.
• Solid knowledge of commercial and/or construction painting techniques
• Aptitude in using appropriate tools (brushes, caulking guns etc.)
• Good basic math skills
• Must be able to distinguish among colors
• High school diploma; successful completion of an apprenticeship

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
