Randstad is on the hunt for an experienced, talented and reliable maintenance technician to join a team in the Milledgeville, Georgia area. In this position, your role is to ensure the machinery and facility are running as expected along with developing preventative maintenance procedures. Our ideal candidate will be a jack-of-all trades, with knowledge of maintenance procedures, hydraulic systems, general equipment troubleshooting and repair and use of basic hand tools. Responsibilities

• Adjust and calibrate machinery and equipment
• Installs, repairs, and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance.
• Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation.
• Clean and lubricate machinery or equipment
• Detect minor problems by performing basic diagnostic tests
• Disassemble equipment and machinery when there is a problem
• Move equipment and machinery
• Perform tests to make sure that machines are running smoothly
• Read technical manuals to understand controls and equipment
• Repair or replace malfunctioning or broken components
• Test malfunctioning machinery

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment
• wearing steel toe shoes
• working in a non-temperature controlled environment
• manual lifting up to 8lbs
• standing for 8 hours at one time
• working up to 10 hrs of overtime per week

Skills

• Electronic Maintenance (2 years of experience is required)
• Mechanical Maintenance (2 years of experience is required)
• Blueprints
• Electrical (1 year of experience is required)
• General Maintenance (2 years of experience is required)
• PLC (2 years of experience is preferred)
