INDUSTRIAL ENGINEER – CONTINUES IMPROVEMENT

Our growing company is searching for top talent to join our team in the role of an Industrial Engineer – Continuous Improvement located in the vibrant community of Windom, MN.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Designing, modeling, building, and deploying functional solutions
• Leading process improvements activities
• Evolving continuous improvement initiatives
• Supporting the business through effective management of value, risk, content, communication, knowledge, and resources
• Responding to immediate safety, quality, and productivity issues that arise
• Adhering to budget requirements
• Complying to all codes and regulations, including the health and safety policy and practices in the delivery of services
• Analyzing work force utilization, facility layout, and operation data such as product cost, process flows, and production schedules to determine efficient utilization of all assets
• Participating in the training and development of other employees
• Assisting with the development and integration of corporate cultural elements
• Leading and participating in process development projects
• Contributing to other technical support duties
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Master’s preferred (Industrial, Mechanical, or Systems)
• 3 years’ experience in engineering in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of CAD systems
• Firm understanding of Lean Manufacturing tools and principles
• Displays experience using 6 Sigma
• Ability to collect data and develop statistics to describe equipment and system functionality
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision, often on multiple simultaneous projects using excellent time management skills
• Ability to identify root causes
• Excellent project management skills
• Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Basic knowledge of mechanical or electrical engineering principles
