Do you enjoy creating elegant designs that positively impact people's daily lives? Do you enjoy solving complex problems while utilizing visual communication and design thinking as tools? Are you excited about solving some of the most challenging problems in transportation and be part of a movement towards creating a more sustainable future? If so, you might be Veo's next Industrial Designer.

Your daily tasks will involve working closely with our creative and manufacturing teams to take a vehicle all the way from conception to production. A typical day may consist of concept generation, CAD modeling, building 3D prototypes to prove a concept, doing research with users, and communicating design details to the manufacturing team abroad. The primary responsibility is to help to ensure the aesthetic and functionality details are on point for our e-scooters, bikes, e-bikes and other vehicles while collaborating with individuals in the U.S. and China through all stages of our design and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Concept development leveraging visual communication tools such as sketching, CAD, 3D prototypes, 3D printing, etc.
• Use design thinking to understand complex user problems and requirements
• Participate in user research sessions and continually incorporate user feedback to improve our product
• Deliver low to high fidelity prototypes and mockups to share with the team

Qualifications and Skills

• BFA or MFA degree in Industrial or Product Design
• A portfolio that demonstrates your experience with product development
• 2+ years experience as an industrial or product designer
• Familiarity and comfort with user research and research synthesis
• Logical thinker, effective communicator, and able to present (verbally and visually) content with clarity
• Passionate about making the world more sustainable
• Proficient in software such as Solidworks, Keyshot, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Indesign.
