Hybrid Sales Representative - Biotech Industry

A biotech services company supporting local research institutions and biotech companies is looking for motivated candidates to join our growing team. Located in San Diego, CA, our lab is looking for a full-time Hybrid Sales Representative for our Sanger sequencing, Oligo Synthesis, and DNA Prep services. We are looking for candidates to work 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday. Hybrid work environment (remote + office) along with potential traveling on a as needed basis.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement sales and marketing strategies in assigned region
• Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
• Maintain relationships with current accounts within assigned region
• Create/Issue quotes for new and existing accounts
• Work towards achieving annual sales goals
• Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments as needed
• Update management with reports on customer needs, problems, and interests
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of services offered by Eton and high-level knowledge of pertinent service protocols

Requirements

• BS/BA or equivalent (Major in biological sciences is preferred)
• 0-2 years of sales experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to maintain interpersonal relationships with clients and build a network within the assigned region (remotely and in-person)
• Willingness to travel on as needed basis to close sales and build customer relations
• Strong time management

Preferred:

• Familiarity with Hubspot CRM
• Laboratory experience (academic or professional) is preferred (min. <1yr)
