Position: HVOF Operator/Tech

Department: HVOF Coating Department

Shift: (Days) Monday-Friday 6:00AM-2:30PM

Position Overview:

The primary purpose of this position is to sandblast and coat valves for customer shipment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Strives to meet production schedules without sacrifice to quality or health and safety standards
• Able to read and understand VTI sandblast and coating procedures
• Mask and protect any machine surface prior to sandblasting
• Sandblast to SSPC-SP10 near white metal and profile thickness
• May perform any other work-related functions as deemed necessary and appropriate by immediate supervisor
• Operate forklift when needed
• Work overtime when needed

Core Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience sandblasting and HVOF coatings
• Experience with JP 5000 & 8000 coating spray gun
• ABB & Fanuc Robot (preferred)
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment that is fast paced and demanding
• Must be self-directed, have excellent initiative and organizational skills
• Exhibits a strong ability to handle multiple demands with a sense of urgency, drive and energy
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Works well meeting multiple deadlines with the ability to deliver on time
• Operate blast cabinet, walk in blast cabinet, and pot blasters
• Must be able to make coating setups

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

• Houston, TX 77092: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
