Overview

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for supporting all human resource, recruiting, and onboarding functions of our food & beverage team at the Winstar Resort and Casino and all operations within the Gran Via Buffet and Red River Grill.

Our ideal candidate has a thorough understanding of HR policy and procedures and is an effective communicator and influencer of associates at all levels of an organization. The HR Manager role will involve associate onboarding, training, compliance, associate relations, and being the connector between the property and our corporate human resource team.

Responsibilities

· Build relationships by networking and prospecting with key decision markers, establish and develop strong and effective relationships with influencers through the use of professional, courteous and ethical interpersonal interaction

· Partner with Talent Acquisition to attract, hire, and onboard new team members

· Develop employee engagement initiatives as well as opportunities to ensure successful retention of team members

· Develop and deliver trainings to new and existing associates, ensuring they have a thorough understanding of their job functions, policies, procedures, and opportunities for growth

· Handle all associate relations matters and complaints, including communicating investigative matters to corporate human resources partners

· Assists in all benefits and payroll processing

· Assists managers in both discipling procedures as well as personal development plans

· Develops policy and procedures for new hire onboarding as well as coordinates the effective completion of all new hire paperwork

· Ensure compliance with federal and state employment regulations, as well as company policies and procedures

· Ensures the timely processing of any unemployment claims

· Participate in internal auditing and the maintenance and safeguarding of associate files

· Develops key relationships with temporary staffing agencies and communicates needs to ensure staffing levels are appropriate

· Through communications with all managers, develops par levels needed for staffing in all areas

· Act as a connector between the location and our enterprise HR team, advocating and educating for consistent and best practice policies and practices and sharing insights and knowledge unique to the location

· Attend and is prepared for all manager meeting to assist in the overall operational effectiveness as well as providing report and updates on any and all overall HR functions

· Other duties as assigned by senior leadership

Qualifications

· Bachelor of Arts / Sciences in Human Resources, Business Administration or related major, or equivalent experience (preferred)

· Minimum 5 years verifiable HR experience

· Specialized professional training a plus (PHR or SPHR preferred)

· Background in recruitment strategies, techniques, and training

· Excellent communication skills and ability to multi-task

· High level of computer literacy to include all Microsoft applications and utilization of payroll systems

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
