The HR Generalist provides leadership and partnership to the Club to deliver a spectrum of strategic and tactical support to people operations and business initiatives. While this position’s primary focus is onboarding, new hire and ongoing training and employee relations you should expect to perform a myriad of functions in the Human Resources department to support Club needs and goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Manages the onboarding process for Club employees including but not limited to drafting offer letters, ensuring new hire paperwork in completed in a timely and complete manner, conducting new hire orientation, and surveying new hires for 30 and 90-day feedback.
  • Conducts investigations regarding discrimination, sexual harassment, and employee disputes. Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Partner with appropriate leadership team members to provide coaching and counseling to employees to resolve performance issues.
  • Act as a resource for and ensure an open line of communication is maintained with business partners for fair and consistent interpretation and application of company policies and procedures.
  • Under general direction, ensures timely processing of workers' compensation claims; evaluates accident reports to determine accuracy and completeness and to ensure adequate investigation; ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Supports the Director of HR, and aligns priorities based on business needs and action plans.
  • Manages the Club’s internship programs.
  • Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2 years of experience in Human Resources positions
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Strong computers skills in Microsoft environment, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Adobe
  • A high degree of integrity and evidence of practicing a high level of confidentiality
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work evenings and/or weekends to accommodate the teams' schedule.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • PHR or SHRM-CP Certification
  • Previous experience working in ADP Workforce Now

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The job requires regularly lifting/pushing up to 5 pounds and occasionally lifting/pushing more than 10 pounds or exerting heavy force in a wide disparity or environmental conditions. The job involves standing, stooping, bending, lifting, pushing etc.
