Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Human Resources or related field required.
  • Preferred experience using HRIS and automated recruitment systems.
  • Computer proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, One Note) and social media.
  • At least three (3) years of experience working in a K-12 public school environment preferred.
  • Confidentiality, diplomacy, and discretion required.
  • Excellent communication skills and commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and recordkeeping guidelines.
  • Independent judgment, problem solving, and decision making skills with ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Previous experience working with labor unions a plus

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for compliance and applying all HR policies, district guidelines, federal and state regulations.
  • Responsible for creating a recruitment plan for assigned bargaining units.
  • Responsible for processing employee relations concerns such as FMLA, ADA, and workers’ compensation claims for assigned bargaining units.
  • Generating official internal documents for assigned bargaining units.
  • Serves as Project Lead for HR projects such as automation efforts, process improvements, HRIS, performance management and other business needs as identified to obtain and maintain efficient HR operations.
  • Administers various human resources plans and procedures for all personnel.
  • Maintains Human Resource Information Systems records and compiles reports and database.
  • Possesses sound cross function HR knowledge needed to administer and execute HR programs by working collaboratively with the HR team.
  • Responsible for filing, mailing, and record keeping for all related programs.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Physical Demands:

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear.
  • Sitting for long periods of time.
  • Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Regularly required to use close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision. Must also have the ability to adjust focus.
