Summary
Wallis Annenberg Legacy Foundation is a community-based foundation with two projects in the greater Los Angeles area, Wallis Annenberg PetSpace and Wallis Annenberg GenSpace.
Currently we have an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources and Volunteer Coordinator to join our team to support employees and volunteers for both Wallis Annenberg PetSpace and Wallis Annenberg GenSpace. We are looking for someone who enjoys working both independently and within a team, with strong administrative and organizational skills. Also must possess the poise, professionalism, and diplomacy to interact with all types of people.
The Human Resources and Volunteer Coordinator will have both human resource generalist responsibilities and be the main point of contact for our dedicated group of volunteers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
POSITION SUMMARY:
Volunteer Coordination
- Recruit, onboard, and coordinate volunteers
- Manage the volunteer computer system
- Work with internal departments to identify volunteer opportunities
- Coordinate appreciation events and activities
Human Resources Coordination
- Perform Human Resources generalist duties such as recruitment, onboarding, benefits, payroll, employee relations, and compliance.
- Ensure compliance with current federal, state, and local employment regulations.
- Communicate effectively and appropriately with all levels of employees verbally and in writing.
Payroll
- Process bi-weekly payroll within three separate companies.
- Provide payroll administration including time and attendance, new hire entry, reporting, and records maintenance.
Education, Skills, and Experience
Education and Experience
- Bachelors Degree in a related field
- 5 years of HR/Payroll Experience
- 3 years experience managing volunteer programs
