Job description

Seeking a positive, motivated, self-starter who is comfortable in an office setting while working with truck drivers, DOT representatives, laborers, and our own office personnel. This person will have a working knowledge of DOT Regulations, Labor Standards, and general HR procedures. We are a multifaceted organization dealing primarily in the oilfield industry.

20-30 hours or 2-3 days/week (no remote work)

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, and related computer software
  • Working knowledge of QuickBooks
  • Required -working knowledge of FMCSA Clearinghouse as it relates to driver qualification and related compliance.
  • Required -working knowledge of DOT
  • Payroll experience (new hire related) - a PLUS
  • Working knowledge of OSHA Logs/ OSHA 300 - a PLUS
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical, criminal/employment background checks and non-DOT drug test.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, set goals, and accomplish responsibilities with limited supervision

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Execution and management of New Hire Orientation Program
  • Special projects for Controller as needed
  • Review and processes all driver applicant qualification documents for accuracy and completeness
  • Requests and reviews background investigation reports such as Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) reports
  • Track all driver credentials (License, Medical Cards, etc.) and send renewal notification reports to Site Managers
  • Assist in Driver Annual Review process to include request for MVR’s and distribution/collection of certificates of violation
  • Assist in completing all driver safety performance history checks and Department of Transportation (DOT) drug/alcohol history checks
  • Populate and manage personnel data software to ensure all driver credentials and files are compliant with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Requirements (FMCSR)
  • Assist in correcting and running violation reports
  • Track and maintain all DOT required training records in accordance with FMCSR (FMCSA Clearinghouse)
  • Manage and maintain all printed and electronic driver qualification files, medical files, and compliance files in a secure and confidential manner
  • Complete Employment Verification requests for terminated drivers’ prospective employers per FMCSR
  • Conduct periodic self-auditing of all DOT driver qualification files and records to ensure compliance
  • Execution and management of the FMCSA pre-employment, random, post-accident and return to duty drug and alcohol testing program
  • Execution and management of the non-FMCSA pre-employment, random, post-accident and return to duty drug and alcohol testing programs
  • Assist in scheduling and preparing for safety training and safety management events
  • Other job duties as assigned

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $32,500.00 - $35,000.00 per year
