General Description:

The HR Associate will work collaboratively with our outsourced HR Partners to help handle all the administrative functions pertaining to HR, as well as the day-to-day HR functions, in conjunction with our outsourced HR Consultant.

Job responsibilities:

  • Support employees and management with routine day-to-day HR questions, needs, and inquiries, providing exceptional service and ensuring you guide our teams to the right resources to achieve a quality and timely solution.
  • Maintain HR documentation and records, including employee personnel files, medical files, and I-9’s.
  • Assist with benefits administration, including annual open enrollment.
  • Assist with leave administration, including disability, New York State paid family leave, workers compensation, and NYS COVID-19 leaves.
  • Assist with the creation and regular updates of company job descriptions.
  • Manage the talent acquisition process at Cold Point Corporation, including managing job postings, resume and application reviews, virtual prescreening interviews, and onboarding and training of new employees.
  • In conjunction with management, administer all company related policies, including attendance, leaves of absence, and general workplace policies.
  • Partner with leadership team to ensure timely completion of employee performance reviews
  • Work with the leadership team to promote company core values and culture
  • Assist with HR projects and duties on an as-needed basis

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of proven experience working in an HR capacity
  • Associate degree or bachelor's degree in human resource management, business administration, or related field desired.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws
  • Technically proficient in Microsoft Office and other related software
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong understanding of basic Human Resources best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to understand and handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Ability to handle and diffuse difficult situations if/when they arise
  • Strong follow up and attention to detail
  • SHRM membership a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
